ST (Stephen Thomas Ltd) located just steps away from Toronto’s historic Distillery District, is a full-service marketing and fundraising agency dedicated to helping our clients raise more money. Currently, we are looking for an energetic, collaborative Production Designer who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and work alongside like-minded team members.

Working at ST you will receive above market benefits and a starting salary of $55,000 – $65,000 with room for growth.

You will act as the final checkpoint in the creative design process. You will review final design layout, brand and content and supply printer-ready art files to our trusted suppliers. You will work closely with creative, account and production team members to provide flawless day-to-day delivery of projects for your clients. By working efficiently and mindfully you will contribute to a positive team environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and production
  • Comply with brand guidelines and prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing
  • Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
  • Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
  • Provide mock-ups of DM packages
  • Package and pre-flight files for release to printers or media partners
  • Create PDFs for print and client review
  • Conduct press checks
  • Prepare images for online and mobile applications
  • Catalog and reference art for future projects
  • Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise with both the creative team and the printers

Education & Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in studio production
  • Extreme proficiency in Adobe CC2019 (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, creative suite
  • Knowledge of printing processes


  • An independent self-motivator
  • Highly conceptual and organized with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary and under time-pressure
  • Ability to work independently but also work with a team
  • Ideally, an individual with integrated direct response experience
  • Knowledgeable of diverse marketing channels
  • Detail-oriented, with killer proofreading skills
